Music at Faith Baptist Church |

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Col. 3:16)
The music program at Faith Baptist Church is an integral part of our worship services. The first half of each service is dedicated to praising the Lord and edifying the saints through the singing of meaningful hymns, vocal and instrumental offertories, and special musical numbers. Those who are blessed with the ability to minister in music use their talents each week to lift up and encourage our congregation. Many of our musicians also find other avenues in which they can use their musical ability to minister to others and glorify God in and outside of the church.

Adult Choir
Directed by: Sally Bowen
The adult choir sings at each worship service from September through June, and usually presents three major choir productions per year, once at Christmas, another at Easter, and a choir favorites program in the summer. The choir rehearses every Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m. during the choir season. (Rehearsal times often go longer prior to a choral production.)
Choir membership is open to all church members and regular attending friends, but you must be a believer in Jesus Christ. The ability to sing and read music is also important. If you would like to be a part of the exciting choir ministry, you are welcome to come to the sanctuary for any Thursday night rehearsal.
Teen Choir
Directed by: Heather Elgena
The teen choir is a group of singers from our teen ministry who sing periodically at Sunday services and train to use their talents and abilities for the Lord. The teen choir is a ministry outreach, and various events involving this group are planned throughout the year through the Ambassadors of Faith Student Ministry. This choir actively participates in Word of Life Teens Involved. Rehearsals for the teen choir are during the Word of Life club year, every Sunday at 5:15 p.m., just prior to the evening worship service.

Joyful Noise
Directed by: Sara Hocking
Joyful Noise is an exciting childrens' choir ministry for young singers up to 12 years of age. This choir ministers to our church congregation on various Sundays throughout the year. Other activities are planned. All FBC children are welcome to participate! For more information, please see Sara Hocking or contact the church office.
Offertory & Special Music
Many talented musicians at Faith Baptist Church minister to the congregation during the worship services with vocal and instrumental offertories and special music. Over the years our platform has been blessed by the music ministry of many vocal soloists, duets, small vocal groups, instrumentalists, and those with unique musical talent. Both the offertory and special music participants are on separate rotating schedules created six months in advance. If you regularly attend Faith Baptist Church and would like to sign up for offertory or special music, please talk to one of our staff before or after church, or you may obtain the contact info of the schedulers by calling the church office. |
