In Loving Memory of Andrew McGavisk

On Monday, September 29th, Andrew McGavisk passed from this life into glory. He was 42 years and 12 days young. Born on September 17, 1983, in Phoenixville, PA, Andrew brought joy and vibrancy wherever he went.

He is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Joyce McGavisk; his brother, Daniel; his grandmother, Ruby Mensch; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Mensch, and grandparents, Bernie and Virginia McGavisk.

Andrew graduated from New Castle Baptist Academy enjoying many sports, and went on to attend the University of Delaware and Liberty University. He worked in the family’s appraisal and real estate businesses.

A true free spirit, Andrew loved the outdoors. A “mountain man” at heart, he found joy in walking and discovering unique paths and hidden places. He was deeply passionate about music—especially Dave Matthews and The Gaslight Anthem—and enjoyed movies, Pokémon, and Anime. He had a gift for thoughtful discussion and could wax eloquent on almost any subject.
